Just in time

with a finish for this block, Fox and Geese from the Civil War Quilts blog as the block for this week will be on the blog later tonight.  I pieced most of this one by hand while sitting outside in the warmth late yesterday afternoon and finished it off this morning just as the rain started.

I used some charm squares (French General I think) and the blue fabric is from The Adelaide Collection by Michelle Hill.

  1. Beautiful fabrics for your lovely block, Pip.

The quilt sandwich you mentioned last post is my least fave of the process as well. But when it's done---what a relief!

Your batting sounds interesting. I've yet to find my perfect batting, though the Pellon I bought last year at IQF is wonderful for machine quilting.

    All my best,

  2. Looks great - you've made me wonder now whether I could include a bit of French General in my own blocks - thank you :)
