Woof, woof …

It was really windy and hot this morning (though not as hot as yesterday) there was a lot of bark and leaves scattered on the ground so we spent a bit of time gathering it all up.

Kris had a post about bark a little while ago which has inspired my post. I love the patterns that the shedding bark makes on the different types of gums.

Perhaps one day there will be inspiration for a quilt from these bark patterns,

and after all our hard work this morning when the cool change arrived late this afternoon it brought more wind so once more there is leaves and bark everywhere.

  1. La natura sa disegnare delle cose incantevoli e queste foto sono meravigliose.
    Buona giornata

  2. Beautiful. I have to say that I've never seen a tree shed its bark.

  3. amazing how different the bark looks esp when it is dropping off and reveals a new layer underneath..........if you want to see some more go to the snappy friends blog.......
