I've been trying to remember to take my camera with me at least once a week when I go walking. Somedays there are a lot of birds just waiting to have their picture taken :)

It's quite hard taking pictures of birds, they don't tend to stay still for very long and usually you can't get too close to them (the zoom is handy then) although magpies seem to be an exception, they will often come right up to you.

  1. Nice photos! Magpies are one of my favourites. And they're not shy at all. (I can hear them warbling outside as I write this!)

  2. Just popped in to say Gday,I cant see any Magggies but is that a Blue winged Kookaburra, and love the colour on the pigeons beatiful photo with the pigeons sitting in the fallen tree.

  3. Hi Jeanette,
the top picture is a Laughing Kookaburra, there were about 8 of them there, what a racket.
