It seemed as if I spent most of my day making the Civil War Quilts block for this week called Order Number Eleven (you can read more about the history of this block here)  When I looked in my Block Base I found that there was a variation of this block there which was very similar to the  Dear Jane block Junko's Rose Garden that I made last November of course this block is twice the size so perhaps that is why it took me so long to make it.

  1. Magnified it and the reverse applique is faultless! No dark seams sneaking through the white. Lovely block and the coral colours on both larger prints link the different value blues nicely.

    I wish i had checked blockbase, the download PDF was a bit off and i ended up fudging a bit with mine.

  8. It must be fascinating to find out a bit about each design as you do one. I never really knew there was a history to it all - but now it all makes sense.
