Supporting the local economy

Today my quilting friend Sheila and I went on our Southern road trip (aka quilt shop crawl).  We had a lovely day out, first driving to Strathalbyn to visit Kirkbride Quilting, then having coffee and some very nice date and walnut loaf at Argus House.

I seem to have bought quite a few things :)

After our coffee break we moved on to The Quilt Basket at Victor Harbor  and finally Mallee Country Crafts  in McLaren Flat before heading home, tired but happy with our day out and of course our purchases.

  2. I went on my own little quilt shop drive yesterday and got some nice stuff too - it looks like you got a lot more than I did :) wish my girlfriend could have went too.

  6. What a wonderful day - although I'm not a quilter I can imagine the looking through and selecting fabrics would be such fun - what goes with what! colours, textures, designs trimmings - and then to top it off with a lovely country coffee. Sounds delightful
