Scrappy star block

The weekend was spent sewing more HST and four patch blocks together, today I finally got to put some of them together to make this block which will be part of a scrappy quilt I’m making.

This star block is actually four smaller blocks sewn together (2 HST blocks and 2 four patch blocks).  In a strange quirk the Civil War Quilts  BOW is the same as the small block, so I will have had plenty of practise making it this week.

  1. That will be a lot of piecing and practise for the Civil war block- looking good.

  2. Its looking good Pip, did you have enough fabric?I got the sashings on mine. How observant of you to notice the Underground railroad block in this star, I thought it was familiar as i was doing this weeks block but it didn't click.
