4 rows done

IMG_4144

Decided tonight to lay out the completed rows that I have made.  It makes quite a difference actually seeing them all laid out as I usually put them in my folder as soon as I finish them, so I forget what they look like.  I would have laid them out on a cream background but it was warmer in the lounge hence the dark carpet as background.

Once I have done Row D, I’m going to have to think about whether to quilt it in a strip of 4 rows, or blocks of 4 x 4 (and one of 4 x 5) or leave it till all blocks are done.

  1. It looks beautiful! Isn't it wonderful to actually see what they look like together?

  2. I looked and then found I was (truely) holding my breath in awe. Making your Dear Jane in blue is working out so well - and you know I'm not a fan of that colour. The detail is clear in every block, and your finishing is so clean(can you tell I'm the granddaughter of a Bespoke Tailoress?)

Thankfully no sign of darling Cody to pounce and slide along it all - the cat from my childhood would have loved too!

Put the pieces safetly away, then pour yourself and The Mister a glass each of something nice to celebrate - he did encourage you to make this, after all.

  5. Pip, It looks stunning, what an achievement! I am envious that you have made such inroads with your project and are pumping out these blocks so quickly. An inspiration to me for some of my projects, long started and never completed. Well done big sister. Love Jenny

  6. Gee Pip, it is going to be spectacular! I've been wondering how so many different shades of blue would work but the way you have these set out, it looks amazing. And so much work in each piece! Oi vay!
