While out walking this morning, I spotted this

Pincushion Hakea (Hakea laurina)  growing

on the verge.  The flowers are about the size

of a ping-pong ball and are attractive at all

stages of their development.

  1. These are so cute.....you kind of imagine some little beings in them. Well....Chloe did...she saw the pictures and said that was where the gum nut babies live!

  4. These flowers are amazing! I live in New England, USA and although we have many beautiful flowers, I have never seen anything like these! Beautiful
