Started making this today .......

Cucumbers/gherkins washed and ready to be cut

cut in half (or quarters) place in a non-reactive container

and sprinkle 1/2 cup salt over, mix around a bit


pour over 2 litres of boiling water, leave to stand overnight


and that is as far as I've got. Come back tomorrow to see what happens next.....

    Its amazing what we don't know till we find out lol Nobody but me was more surprised about the Vit.D issue but now I know, like you I can deal with it.
