Decisions, decisions

So I have been making this star for a corner kite on the DJ quilt, I appliqued it because that was how it was done on the original quilt, but it looks like a starfish to me so.........

I decided to see if I could foundation piece a star that would have nice sharp points and I have succeeded so now all that remains is to sew it all together, leaving that for tomorrow I think.

  1. The pieced star is beautiful. I agree the first one looks like a Star Fish. Can't to see the finished quilt.

  3. i agree with you - the sharper corners look better - more in keeping with the rest of the quilt. not that i don't like the starfish....

  4. Pip,
All your blocks are simply wonderful. I adore your color choices and am happy to hear you are doing so well on your triangles & kites! I like both. Your points are sharp for applique but if perfection is what you strive for, you can't beat piecing. You'll do what you like and love your quilt.
    All my best,
    Heather
