Funny fungus

Lately since the weather has started getting colder, I am finding it difficult to get up early and go for my usual walk, I much prefer to stay in bed in the warmth. A while ago I took my camera with me when I went walking and took some photos, I don't know what sort of fungus these are but there were certainly a lot of them, and they just appeared, seemingly out of nowhere because the day before there was no sign of them.

  3. It is the season for toadstools isn't it. I have found some up here which I mean to photograph and forget the camera on each walk to school.

There are also some lovely ones recorded here:

  4. Pip I think they may be goldtops... and they would create a helucinatory effect for anyone that ate them. Marilyn

  5. they are beautiful. they make me think of the faraway tree - magic little toadstools that pop up out of nowhere - perhaps they were for a brownie meeting!
i don't blame you for staying in bed these days - it's soo cold in the morning - but days like today are superb!
